Liam’s First Birthday Party | Hitting the Big One -LSU Baseball

I can’t believe that my baby boy is ONE! It feels like it was just yesterday that we were bundling him up for the ride home from the hospital. Liam has been the happiest baby since the day we brought him home. He has a HUGE personality and is loved by everyone he meets.

I have been preparing for Liam’s birthday for the longest time. I wanted unique, but I wanted baseball which is probably the most popular birthday theme out there. Chad suggested we go all out in LSU and it was his best idea yet! Liam was Hitting the Big One as an LSU Tiger.

While his actual birthday Thursday May 19th, We celebrated Liam Saturday May 21st for his big birthday bash. I was super nervous going into it that Liam wouldn’t be in a great mood being around so many people, but he did awesome! He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, trying cake for the first time ( he enjoyed this the least), and jumping in his play house.

We started the day off with setting up for the party and picking up from some of our amazing vendors. Liam enjoyed playing and watching us all work. When our friends from 318 Social dropped off the jumper, we got in to try it out. Liam would NOT stop laughing. Although he can’t walk or jump quite yet, he had an absolute ball crawling around and having others bounce him.

Of course, I had to attempt to quickly capture some detail shots before everyone arrived, and then I set the camera down. I am super thankful for everyone who picked my camera up to take snaps throughout the day or who sent me pictures of the moments that I missed. I have loved looking through the photos from the day.

We ate first because why not?! I had concession stand food like nachos, popcorn, cotton candy, pickles, chips, and cracker jacks. We also had the most beautiful cake made from Cake Bakery in West Monroe. It was gorgeous! The ladies there were the absolute sweetest and are so talented. We got his cake smash cake from Brookshire’s. He was not a fan of getting the icing on his hands, but played in it and attempted to eat a bite.

After a quick clean up and outfit change, we opened all of Liams wonderful presents. He is spoiled and there is no ifs ands or buts about it. We are so thankful to everyone who gifted him with clothes, toys, and other useful items! We can’t wait to get into his playroom and play with it all.

We spent the rest of the afternoon in the photo booth with Bee Snappy. I am so thankful for all the fun pictures I got with the people I love, and the ones that people got with Liam.

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Liam on his big day. I do believe that his fans travel to support him better than the LSU tigers ! We love everyone and missed those who couldn’t make it.
