Today, I am celebrating two important milestones. The first is that Raegan and Ryan’s Wedding Day Blog Post is Live! The second is that I shot this gorgeous Molto Bella wedding at 33 weeks pregnant, and it is the last wedding before our baby arrives in May. Whoo. I’m not going to lie and say it was easy , but I will say that I felt better than expected. I also have to thank all the wonderful vendors who made the day smoother for me and the amazing family and friends of Raegan and Ryan who were the kindest people to me on the wedding day as I wobbled around the venue capturing a PICTURE PERFECT day. Chad also came after a long day at work to help me finish the 8 hour day off, get gear for me, take pictures while I sat, and make my life easier. So thankful for all the help!
This wedding was stunning and a fairytale day all around. Ryan and Raegan chose to get married on Good Friday, April 2, 2021 and it was GOOD! When I arrived on site, Raegan already had her details in a box ready to go. I took them to one of the many pavilions at Molto Bella and started capturing magic. The sunlight was streaming through the pavilion and created the perfect lighting to hang the dress on the rafters. After details, we went and took getting ready shots of Raegan and her girls putting on the final touches of their make up, hair and outfits. I have so many favorite parts of the day, but there is something about that moment of the mother of the bride buttoning the dress that gets me every time. Ryan and Raegan exchanged letters, and then decided to do a first look in order to have all the portraits taken before the ceremony. What a DREAM!
For the first look, Raegan arranged one of their best friends, Jacob, to dress up in a wedding dress and surprise Ryan. Ryan played it off like a champ, turning around, realizing that wasn’t his bride to be and said, “Wow, I can’t wait to marry you”. It was such a great moment, but the really amazing moment was when Ryan finally had his true first look with his bride. You can always tell a couple’s true relationship on a wedding day. I felt the love between the two of them the entire day, but most importantly their love for God was so evident. The sweet words that the two of them shared throughout their wedding day was proof of the love for their father and their marriage, and I can’t wait to see their marriage strengthen each day with that love.
After the first looks, I photographed all of the perfect details of their day from the floral arch that is every bride’s dream, to the pretty details throughout the reception rooms. Raegan and Ryan had so much down time scheduled in their day, and I can’t recommend it enough. This helped them to relax and take it all in. No one felt rushed, and even better Molto Bella had a full guys game room haven for everyone to play around and have a blast while waiting on the ceremony.
The ceremony finally came around, and I have to say that it was perfect. Raegan looked like a true princess walking down the aisle, and Ryan was eagerly awaiting his bride. They were surrounded by their huge support system of family and friends to witness their marriage and vows. It was beautiful weather, the perfect temperature, and a true testimony of love.
The newly Mrs. and Mr. took some sunset portraits that were so dreamy I couldn’t stop posing them in different light. I am most excited for everyone to see these below, so make sure you don’t miss out! The reception began and ended in super awesome dance moves. Raegan had the best first dance with her dad, and it put a smile on everyone’s face. She surprised her guest with a sweet slow dance turned to line dancing, and the coolest dance moves of the century. We cut cake and ate the most delicious cupcakes. Not gonna lie, I had two. One for Baby Liam of-course. Then the couple danced the night away surrounded by their closest friends and family! They exited under the sparklers and rode off to the happiest place on earth, Disney!!!
Ryan and Raegan, I am so stoked for you to see this highlight of your day through my eyes. I am so thankful that you chose me to celebrate and capture your Big Day, and wish you many many years of happiness! I’m super jealous of you two spending your honeymoon in Florida, and I hope you love birds have some special magic coming your way!
