Greg and Haylee finally tied the knot on Saturday March 13, 2021 at The GORGEOUS Ashley Manor in Baton Rouge, LA. This wedding was bitter-sweet for me, because it was my last time photographing a Baton Rouge wedding for a while! I won’t say I’ll never photograph another BR wedding, but with Baby Reeves on the way we will definitely be only taking local weddings for the next couple of years. I’m so glad I got to send off Haylee and Greg as my last Baton Rouge Couple ( For a while ) !
When we arrived to Ashley Manor, Haylee already had all of her details in a bag ready for me to photograph. I LOVE to start my day off with the details, and Haylee had the cutest ring box that I was completely obsessed with to make it even more enjoyable! Once Haylee and her girls arrived at the venue, we photographer her mom and sister buttoning her beautiful gown from Happily Ever After Bridal. I adore this moment as the mom realizes that her little girl is getting married. I feel like the button up is where that thought finally clicks and just creates this special moment between mom and bride. After the dress, Haylee’s best friend, Katherine, put on the veil to make that full Bridal look come together.
Haylee then walked down the spiral staircase and into the garden to see her groom for the first time on their wedding day. Greg’s reaction to seeing her was full of pure joy, love, and awe. Because they chose to do the first look, we were able to capture some super awesome couple portraits around the venue. By some, I mean A TON of photos, but I’ll only share a few of my favorites 🙂 ! We also were able to capture all of the Bridal Party and some family shots as well. This timeline was a dream and allowed more time after the ceremony for the couple to celebrate with friends and family and to not worry with missing out on any of the fun.
Their ceremony was perfect. They chose to get married in the barn at Ashley Manor, which is gorgeous, rustic, and intimate. Everything went so smoothly, and I loved capturing the little smiles that Haylee and Greg would trade during the ceremony. After the ceremony we took some quick family portraits and then headed into the party.
The newly weds and their friends know how to have a party. The food was delicious, music was great, and dancing was so fun to watch and capture. I had the best time sharing this celebration with the Bradham’s , and loved sending them off with bubbles as they embark on their new lives together. Greg and Haylee, thank you for trusting me with capturing this special day! I hope you enjoy these highlights from your BEST DAY EVER.
