Maggie + Josh | White Oak Venue Ruston Wedding

As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless love stories, but the wedding of Maggie and Josh was truly something special. They tied the knot on June 8th at White Oak Venue in Ruston to become The Raifords. Their day was filled with genuine joy, touching moments, and an undeniable sense of togetherness that made every photograph a treasure.

From the moment I arrived, I could feel the excitement in the air. The bridal bnb was a flurry of activity, with Maggie surrounded by her closest friends and family. After capturing some “getting ready shots” I headed to the venue. Her dress hung gracefully by the balcony doors, catching the summer light. Maggie’s smile was radiant as she prepared for the biggest day of her life, and I made sure to capture every candid laugh, every tender glance, and the anticipation that filled the room. Meanwhile, Josh was with his groomsmen, sharing stories and laughter, easing any pre-wedding nerves. The bond between him and his friends was palpable, and those moments of camaraderie were just as important to document.

The ceremony took place in a beautiful chapel, with sunlight streaming through the trees, casting a warm glow on the guests. The chapel felt nice compared to the sweltering Louisiana heat on the otherside of the shade. As Maggie walked down the aisle, Josh’s eyes welled up with tears, and I could see the love and admiration in his gaze. It was a moment of pure emotion, one that I was honored to capture. The vows they exchanged were heartfelt and personal. The officiant spoke the most beautiful words to them about marriage, and it was a true union between them. Every click of my camera aimed to encapsulate the essence of their love and the promises they made to each other.

The reception was a lively celebration, filled with joyful dancing, and a sense of community. Maggie and Josh’s first dance was a beautiful display of their connection, moving gracefully to their favorite song. I took great care to capture not just the big moments, but also the small, intimate interactions that often go unnoticed—the stolen glances, the shared laughter, and the joy of their loved ones. As the night came to a close, the newlyweds departed under a shower of sparklers, leaving a trail of light and love in the wake of their get away car. Maggie and Josh’s wedding was a testament to the power of love and the beauty of a Godly Marriage, and I felt truly privileged to be a part of it.
