As a photographer, I have the privilege of witnessing countless love stories unfold before my lens, but Christyn and Colby’s wedding at Bayou Haven was truly a sight to behold. Nestled amidst the serene Louisiana landscape, Bayou Haven offers a picturesque setting that perfectly captured the essence of their love. The day began in the charming chapel, an intimate venue that radiated warmth and elegance. With its beautiful wooden pews and soft, natural light streaming through the stained-glass windows, it was a dream location for any couple looking to say their “I dos.”
Christyn looked breathtaking in her lace-adorned gown, a vision of beauty as she walked down the aisle. The chapel was filled with an air of anticipation, and Colby’s eyes lit up the moment he saw his bride. Capturing those genuine, heartfelt moments is a photographer’s delight, and this ceremony was no exception. The exchange of vows, the tender glances, and the joyous applause as they were pronounced husband and wife – each frame told a story of love and commitment.
Following the ceremony, the celebration moved to the rustic barn, a perfect blend of elegance and country charm. The barn was filled with all of their loved ones and the sweetest wild flower arrangements on the tables, creating a magical atmosphere for the evening’s festivities. As the couple shared their first dance under the soft glow of the lights, surrounded by family and friends, it was clear that this was a night to remember. The joy, laughter, and love flowed freely, and every moment was a testament to the beautiful journey Christyn and Colby were embarking on together.
While Christyn’s Cake was a beauty, Colby’s King Cake was the hit of the party along with the red velvet cake balls! I got to steal the couple away for some sweet couple portraits outside of the barn and was so thankful for the time together. The bridal party had the time of their lives on the dance floor and loved ones. They also did a dance where every guest ran up as quick as they could to grab a pic. It was so fun!! Christyn changed into her mom’s wedding dress for the end of the evening. It was the sweetest touch!!! Her and her brother also shared a special dance to their parents first dance song and man it was touching.
As the night drew to a close, the couple made their grand exit in a classic vintage car and pom poms, a fitting end to an unforgettable day. My lenses captured the couple’s excitement and anticipation as they embarked on their new adventure as husband and wife. The car, adorned with a “Just Married” sign, drove off into the night, leaving behind a trail of happy memories and well-wishes. It was a perfect end to a perfect day, and I felt honored to have been a part of Christyn and Colby’s special celebration at Bayou Haven.
