Some wedding days simply leave you smiling from beginning to end, and Madeline and Micah’s July 18 wedding was exactly that. As a North Louisiana Wedding Photographer, I have the privilege of documenting so many beautiful love stories, but this one was filled with so many meaningful moments, heartfelt worship, and joyful surprises that I’ll remember for a long time.

The day began at Bella Rouge, where everyone gathered to get ready before heading to the ceremony. One of my favorite parts of every wedding morning is photographing all of the carefully chosen details, and Madeline’s were absolutely stunning. Her bridesmaids carried gorgeous florals that perfectly complemented her elegant bridal shoes, creating such a timeless and cohesive look. Every detail reflected the joy and excitement of the day ahead.

Even more beautiful than the details were the people. From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly welcoming, kind, and genuinely excited to celebrate Madeline and Micah. It truly set the tone for such a wonderful day.

The ceremony at Cook Baptist Church was one of those moments that reminds me why I love photographing weddings. Family and friends gathered as these two promised forever to one another, but one moment stood out above the rest. During the ceremony, Madeline and Micah invited everyone to join them in worship. As the entire sanctuary stood together to sing, it became so much more than a ceremony, it was a beautiful expression of faith and community centered around their marriage. It was an unforgettable moment that perfectly reflected who they are as a couple.

After family portraits, we returned to Bella Rouge where the celebration truly came alive. The reception was filled with laughter, dancing, and one of the sweetest surprises I’ve ever seen.

The groom’s parents surprised the couple by bringing in Soda Jerk to serve handcrafted dirty sodas throughout the evening. If you know me, you know I was just as excited as the bride! The custom drinks, each named after Madeline and Micah, were an instant favorite with guests and added such a fun and unique touch to the reception. It was one of those details that made the night feel even more personal and memorable.

As the evening began to wind down, we slipped away for sunset portraits and they were absolutely dreamy. The soft summer light, the peaceful moments together, and the pure joy on their faces made for some of my favorite images of the day. Those quiet moments away from the celebration always become some of the most treasured memories.

The night ended with a joyful bubble exit as family and friends sent the newlyweds off into married life surrounded by cheers and celebration.

One word Madeline said over and over throughout the day was “wonderful.” By the end of the evening, I couldn’t have agreed more. From beginning to end, every part of their wedding was exactly that, wonderful.
