If you’ve been searching for the perfect inspiration for your Class of 2027 senior pictures, I’m so excited to finally share this year’s styled senior shoot! Introducing…
The Southern Senior Garden Society
Every year, I dream up an experience that is more than just beautiful photos. I want my senior reps to feel celebrated, confident, and completely themselves while creating images that are unlike anything else in North Louisiana. This year’s vision came to life better than I could have imagined.
As a North Louisiana Senior Photographer serving West Monroe, Sterlington, Monroe, Ruston, and surrounding areas, one of my greatest joys is creating experiences that my seniors will remember long after graduation. The Southern Senior Garden Society wasn’t simply a styled shoot, it was the official kickoff to an unforgettable year with my Class of 2027 Senior Reps.

Meet the Class of 2027 Senior Reps
This year’s team was selected from an incredible group of applicants, making this group even more special.
Representing West Monroe High School are Alexis, Ava, and Carley, while Amelia and Mallory are representing West Ouachita High School.
I already know this is going to be such a fun year together, and if this first shoot is any indication, we’re just getting started.
A Morning of Pampering at Hotel Monroe
The day began at Hotel Monroe, where the girls were treated to professional hair and makeup before stepping in front of the camera.
The incredibly talented Lauren Still Makeup and Makeup by Mal made each senior feel absolutely beautiful while creating soft, timeless looks that photographed perfectly. But what I loved most wasn’t just the finished makeup—it was listening to everyone laugh together, talk about college plans, dream about the future, and start building friendships that I know will last far beyond this year.
There’s something special about watching complete strangers become teammates before your eyes.
A Garden Party at Layton Castle
Then it was time to head to one of my favorite locations in North Louisiana, Layton Castle.
The vision for this shoot centered around Southern elegance with a modern twist. Picture a vintage antique couch nestled among breathtaking florals, soft summer sunshine filtering through the trees, romantic garden textures, and five beautiful seniors bringing the entire scene to life.
The floral designs by Tanya Paul Design were absolutely stunning and transformed the space into something that felt straight out of a Southern storybook. Every bloom added texture, color, and romance to the set.
A very special thank you also goes to one of my sweet former brides and her family for allowing us to incorporate these beautiful pieces into the shoot. It truly would not have been the same without your generosity.
Each senior had plenty of time for individual portraits as well as fun group photos that perfectly captured their personalities.
The Outfit Change That Stole the Show
I have to admit…
Normally, the dresses are always my favorite part of a styled shoot.
This year?
The casual denim look completely surprised me.
Something about the relaxed styling, genuine laughter, effortless confidence, and classic blue denim created images that I’m absolutely obsessed with. They feel timeless, joyful, and exactly what senior year should look like.
Sometimes the unexpected becomes your favorite.
Cookies, Sweatshirts & 100-Degree Weather
To wrap up the day, everyone threw on their official Senior Rep sweatshirts, grabbed the cutest cookies from A Squared Bake, and celebrated an incredible day together.
Now…
Were we wearing sweatshirts in nearly 100-degree Louisiana heat?
Yes.
Did these girls complain?
Not once.
I’m convinced they either really love me…or they’re just absolute troopers.
Either way, they made every single photo worth it.
Between the laughter, the cookies, the behind-the-scenes moments, and enough sweat to survive a Louisiana summer, it was one of those days I’ll never forget.
My Heart is Full
Every year, I pour months of planning into these styled shoots because I want my seniors to have something that feels truly unique and the best around!
Seeing everything come together, from the vision to the vendors to the incredible young women in front of my camera, is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Walking away from this day, my heart was overflowing with gratitude. Not because everything was perfect (Louisiana heat made sure of that!), but because every person involved helped create an experience these girls will remember forever.
That is exactly why I love what I do.
The Real MVP

I couldn’t end this post without thanking my husband, Chad.
While everyone sees the finished photos, they don’t always see everything happening behind the scenes.
Chad hauled furniture, set up every floral installation, moved décor, hooked up fans, made sure everyone stayed hydrated, captured behind-the-scenes photos and videos, and basically kept the entire day running smoothly, and all with the biggest smile.
There simply isn’t a styled shoot without him. I may be the one holding the camera, but he’s the steady hands helping bring these visions to life. So here’s your well-deserved shout-out. I think you’ve officially earned Photography Husband of the Year.
